Any mode to increase max camera altitude?
I hateful it feels weird. It sucks. I tested /console cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor ii.half dozen and as well tested the addon MaxCam, but none of them is working correct now.Practise y'all guys know any trip for that? <three

No, there are no longer whatever ways to increase the camera distance beyond what the interface panel allows. At least not any that adhere to the TOS.

Yous could previously run a console command which would basically only change your config file to increment the max camera distance, but Blizzard has changed it because the extra vision gave an "unfair reward" over players with the default max camera distance.

Dont see the problem. I notice the zoom to be plenty. Sure in raids it might not be the best. Merely retrieve I dont similar is that they removed something that was there before...Thats idiotic. Anyway range is enough for me.

Its not plenty for me since I'one thousand arena actor and I recollect PvP requires more zoom to see everything that is happening on the arena.
Dont see the problem. I detect the zoom to exist enough. Sure in raids it might non be the best. Simply think I dont like is that they removed something that was at that place earlier...Thats idiotic. Anyway range is enough for me.

Dynamiccam addon can change the perspective and then you tin see more in front of yous than behind by lowering your toon towards the bottom of the screen, information technology's pretty useful especially if y'all are melee.

Not an actual zoom out though, just almost.

Non an bodily zoom out though, but almost.

Have they changed it with the pre-patch?With the addon "AdvancedInterfaceOptions" yous should be able to adjust the zoom to 2.6 iirc

I have to agree OP. Of all the changes Blizzard made over the years, this i is the almost annoying. And everytime I cease playing and so kickoff again I effort to increase information technology, just to realize that that'due south non possible. It feels claustrophobic and hurts classes that need to take an overview, like DOT casters.And I don't become why they changed it. Of scripts gave an unfair reward, then why not allow everyone to increase the max zoom factor in the interface options?

Simply goes to prove an unfortunate consequence of blueprint philosophy they've moved towards over the years.

10 and Y variables could mean just about annihilation in the game, whether it'south ii different classes, specs, spells/abilities, or in this instance, two different people playing the game. From here, the devs will make a pick of how to create parity between the ii variables, either:
"Reduce the functionality of X to match Y," or "Increment the functionality of Y to match X."
They must approach it on a case by case basis, of course. Only in regards to the event of the camera distance script they went with the erstwhile of the choices, which to many people was the wrong one! I mean, they could accept easily altered it in the interface options as you stated merely even that to me is unnecessary. Accept /mouseover and /player macros for example, they give united states better advantages in gameplay than camera distance, then is Blizzard going to remove those considering in that location are people who can't or don't desire to figure out how to partake? Hopefully not. Now information technology's on the customs to prove them the error of their ways.

I used to be able to see the whole of Supremus in Blackness Temple. Now I stab at his kneecaps.....lol. It too helped in doing the Lucid Nightmare quest line part in Ulduar for me.Stay safe and have fun.
